Deacon Michael Ho is our Toronto port chaplain and coordinator for Ontario region and visits ships in Toronto and Hamilton Ports.

He recently recruited a former captain from Goa in India, Mr. Conrad Rodrigus, as a volunteer and he is actively engaged in ship visiting in Toronto.

Conrad visited the MV Labrador and reported the following;

“The Captain was away on shore leave. I met with the Second Officer and he invited me on board and we chatted in the guest room and a couple more of other officers popped in and we chatted. Being Easter the Ukraine sailors were thinking of Easter.

“We left two bags of chocolates for the sailors. On my way out I took pictures with seamen Vadim and Vlad at the gangway. They are both due to head home next month so are quite excited.”
